Statute
Based on Article 2 of the statute, the purposes of the Association are:
A. Scientific Purposes
Scientific purposes are the promotion and raising of the scientific level of the members of the Association, in relation to the specialty of oncology and/or in relation to medicine and in general the development of the specialty of oncology and/or medical science, which are achieved mainly (but not limited to):
a. By scientific lectures or conferences held upon invitation, by scientists or by members of the Association.
b. By periodically organized interviews, scientific announcements, demonstrations of clinical cases, research, with the exchange of scientific opinions on them, screening of films, etc. .
c. By establishing a library and registering the Association, as a subscriber to scientific journals which are made available to the members of the Association.
d. By organizing scientific excursions, by the participation of the Members of the Association in scientific and surgical conferences and by the official representation of the Association in International Conferences.
e. Granting scholarships to probationers and/or regular members for research and education purposes.
B. Ethical Objectives
a. Promoting and ensuring the proper scientific and professional education of the members of the Association as individuals and as a whole.
b. Protecting the honor and dignity of the medical profession and of physicians in general.
c. Ensuring good scientific and professional cooperation, promoting good relations between all physicians in general and more specifically between the members of the Association.
d. Promoting and ensuring the best scientific and humanitarian service to patients and good relations between physicians and patients, as befits the physician’s oath and the laws of the state.
